The AyaHQ x Lisk Hackathon is a virtual event focused on developing innovative blockchain solutions to tackle real-world problems. Over three days, participants will build projects that explore key areas in blockchain technology, with guidance from experts and the chance to win prizes.

Target Participants: Blockchain developers and teams (3-5 members) interested in:
Zk Roll-ups
DeFi (Wallets)
RWAs (specifically Carbon Credit Tokenization)
Gamified Sports (such as sports betting with NFT rewards)

Participants will build projects based on one of the following themes:
Zk Roll-ups
DeFi (Wallets)
RWAs (specifically Carbon Credit Tokenization)
Degen (Gamified Sports, such as sports betting with NFT rewards)
General Category: Open for any innovative ideas or themes suggested by the Lisk team.
Objective: Participants should build scalable solutions leveraging Lisk or other web3 technologies. Projects should address real-world challenges, using innovative approaches to demonstrate the potential of blockchain.
Deliverables: All submissions must include:
A demo video (90 seconds)
A short project description
A GitHub repository with open-source code
A presentation deck (maximum of 10 slides)
Teams must consist of 3 to 5 members.
All participants are required to register and submit their projects through the Ayalabs platform.
Eligibility: Open to blockchain enthusiasts and developers. Participation is free.
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, 25th September 2024, 12:00 PM GMT +1.
Required Information: Team name, project description, point of contact, and a link to the project’s repository.
Technology Stack: Projects must be built on the Lisk platform.
Development Tools: Participants will have access to development tools, technical documentation, and support from the AyaHQ and Lisk teams.

Building on Lisk (1 hour):
Speaker: Edward, Developer Relations at Lisk
Overview: Comprehensive introduction to developing projects on the Lisk platform, with a focus on tools, frameworks, and best practices for blockchain development.
Get Started with AyaLabs (30 minutes):
Speaker: Mujahid (mbappai), Developer Relations at Aya
Overview: Introduction to the AyaLabs platform, highlighting the community and resources available to participants, with guidance on leveraging the platform for the hackathon.
Projects will be judged based on the following criteria:
Ideation: Does the solution effectively address the selected problem?
Integration: How well are blockchain/web3 technologies integrated?
Implementation: Technical depth, robustness, and scalability.
Documentation: Quality of the project’s code, presentation, and demo.
Minimum Requirements:
Open-source code
Demo video (max 90 seconds) or presentation (max 10 slides)
Contract addresses or URLs of the deployed application (testnet or mainnet)
Registration Deadline: 25th September 2024, 12:00 PM GMT +1.
Workshops: 25th September 2024, starting at 4:00 PM GMT.
Hackathon Start: 25th September 2024.
Submission Deadline: 27th September 2024, 12:00 PM GMT +1.
Judging: Commences immediately after submission deadline.
Winner Announcement: Post-judging.
The total prize pool for the hackathon is $3,250, distributed as follows:
1st Place: $1,500
2nd Place: $1,000
3rd Place: $750
Additionally, successful teams stand the chance to be accepted into the 3.5month AyaHQ x Lisk African Onchain Builder Program to further develop their ideas, access funding and industry expertise.
Participants are expected to adhere to a code of conduct promoting respect, inclusivity, and collaboration. Misconduct, plagiarism, or failure to comply with instructions will lead to disqualification.
All projects submitted to the hackathon must be open-source. While participants retain ownership of their intellectual property, they grant permission for hackathon organizers and judges to review their submissions.
Participants will have access to:

Technical Resources: Documentation, tutorials, and support channels will be available.
Real-time Support: Provided throughout the event to assist with any technical challenges.
Platforms: Collaboration and communication will take place on Slack and Discord.
Participants are encouraged to collaborate actively and engage with their peers and mentors.
Demo Video: 90 seconds maximum to present the project’s goals, features, and functionality.
Presentation: Maximum of 10 slides, covering objectives, architecture, and impact.
Both the demo video and the presentation should be uploaded by the submission deadline on the Ayalabs platform.
Participants are responsible for ensuring that their submissions comply with legal requirements and intellectual property laws. Any use of third-party or open-source libraries must comply with licensing terms.
Projects will be evaluated based on the judging criteria.
Judges’ decisions are final regarding winners and awards.
Feedback will be provided to all participants after the hackathon to help improve future events.
