About Akwaaba Dapps Hackathon
The Akwaaba Dapps Hackathon is a 3-day intensive Web3 hackathon designed to empower developers, builders, and innovators to create decentralized applications (Dapps) on the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP). This event provides a unique opportunity to learn, collaborate, and build the next generation of blockchain-powered solutions.
Organized by ICP HUB Ghana, the hackathon is open-ended, allowing participants to develop solutions across various industries, including DeFi, AI, NFTs, DAOs, Gaming, and SocialFi—all on ICP’s scalable and decentralized network.
Why "Akwaaba"?
"Akwaaba" means "Welcome" in Akan, a widely spoken language in Ghana. This hackathon embodies the spirit of openness, inclusion, and innovation, welcoming developers from all backgrounds to explore the limitless possibilities of Web3 on ICP.
