The Akwaaba Dapps Hackathon is a 3-day intensive Web3 hackathon designed to empower developers, builders, and innovators to create decentralized applications (Dapps) on the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP). This event provides a unique opportunity to learn, collaborate, and build the next generation of blockchain-powered solutions.
Organized by ICP HUB Ghana, the hackathon is open-ended, allowing participants to develop solutions across various industries, including DeFi, AI, NFTs, DAOs, Gaming, and SocialFi—all on ICP’s scalable and decentralized network.
"Akwaaba" means "Welcome" in Akan, a widely spoken language in Ghana. This hackathon embodies the spirit of openness, inclusion, and innovation, welcoming developers from all backgrounds to explore the limitless possibilities of Web3 on ICP. Just as Ghana is known for its hospitality, Akwaaba Dapps Hackathon is a gateway for new and experienced builders to dive into decentralized technology, collaborate, and bring groundbreaking ideas to life.
